Europe, despite not being a major producer of cocoa beans, is the world's leading chocolate producer and exporter. Germany and the Netherlands are the top two exporters, accounting for 28% and 13% of the EU's chocolate exports respectively. Poland also plays a significant role with a 12% market share, leveraging price competitiveness. The main importers of Polish chocolate are Germany, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, and Romania. Exports to Ukraine and Russia have significantly dropped due to recent conflicts, but sales to Turkey and the US have increased.
