ADM and ROPNIZ have signed a memorandum to boost the health of Russians by promoting increased fish consumption, focusing on pollock, a key component of the Russian diet. The pollock catch is projected to reach 2 million tons by the end of 2024, maintaining its significant share of the total Russian catch. Despite rising food prices, pollock prices have remained stable with a slight decrease this year. The Pollock Catchers Association, which includes major enterprises in the Far East, has initiated a program to encourage pollock consumption, particularly for baby food and those with health issues. The collaboration seeks to popularize fish as part of a healthy diet through scientific, innovative, and educational efforts. Russia's total aquatic bioresource catch since early 2024 is nearly 4.6 million tons, following a record high of 5.3 million tons in 2023, the highest in 30 years.
