Pork prices in Ukraine have remained stable for half a season – Association of Ukrainian Pig Producers

Live pork prices have been steadfastly maintaining the achieved level for half a season, analysts of the Association of Pig Farmers of Ukraine inform, referring to the results of weekly monitoring. During last week's trading, operators of the market for live pigs of slaughter conditions mostly did not revise their purchase prices: as before, they fluctuate within 74–76 UAH/kg with a slightly lower level in the western regions. The weighted average market price remained at 74.55 UAH/kg. Monitoring the sentiment of representatives of the meat processing industry indicates the presence of diverse expectations among operators. However, the majority of procurers are focused on further stability of quotations. According to the majority, the consistently low sales are balanced by the limited supply of live pigs.
