Pork prices in Ukraine have followed a seasonal trend post-winter holidays, with a decrease in consumer activity leading to a drop in prices for pigs in slaughter conditions. The prices for live pork purchases have also changed correspondingly. Regional differences in prices have become more noticeable, with the Center seeing prices of 61-63 UAH/kg, while the East and West paid up to 60 UAH/kg. The meat processing industry has noted a traditional slowdown in trading activity after the holidays and an increase in domestic competition, which is putting pressure on prices for chilled pork. Despite this, pork producers report that the sale of commercial lots is proceeding as planned.
