The Meat and Derivatives Industry Union in Paraná, Sindicarne-PR, has reassured that the embargo on beef exports to China is not expected to impact pork prices. The pork sector is currently experiencing stability in input prices and preparing for an increase in Chinese purchases. In contrast, pork prices are rising in both domestic and international markets. Sindicarne-PR urges the sector to profit from this opportunity to make up for previous losses. The special pork carcass was sold in Greater São Paulo at R$ 11.51 per kilo, marking a 16.6% increase in February, and the average price per ton exported in February was US$ 2,457, a 14% increase from the previous year.
