The Argentine government has announced a $1.200 million subsidy for the pig industry as part of its subsidy policy for productions affected by the increase in grain used for pig food. This subsidy is related to the implementation of the 'dólar soja' and will be financed from the 'Fondo de Incremento Exportador'. The 'Programa de Fortalecimiento Productivo Argentino – Sector Porcino' will be funded with these funds and will be managed by the Ministry of Economy. Producers must be registered with the National Sanitary Register of Agricultural Producers and declare their pig production activities to be eligible for the subsidy.
