Dutch potato exports saw a decrease of 10.8% in 2020, dropping from 407,345 tons in 2019 to 363,315 tons, as per NAO data. This decline was predominantly seen in the EU, with a 33% drop, and Belgium in particular, which fell by 45%. However, there was an increase in exports to Africa, Asia, and America, offsetting the losses in Europe. Seed potato exports also saw a 7% rise, with increased volumes in the European and Asian markets, despite a decrease in exports to Africa.
