In Ahlat district, Bitlis, Turkey, the harvest of food and seed potatoes has begun, with the region contributing 4% to the national supply. This year, 200,000 tons are expected from 56,000 acres. Bitlis Governor Ahmet Karakaya highlighted agriculture's strategic importance and the government's support during his visit to the harvest, accompanied by local officials. Ahlat is historically significant in Anatolia, and efforts are underway to enhance production and distribution.
