Turkiye: Potato harvest begins in Ahlat

The harvest of food and seed potatoes has begun in the Ahlat district of Bitlis, one of Turkey's potato warehouses. The potatoes produced in the rich and extensive agricultural lands of Ahlat district meet 4 percent of Turkey's potato needs and rank 9th in Turkey. A harvest of 200 thousand tons of food potatoes is expected from 56 thousand acres of land in Ahlat this year.
