Russia's Ministry of Agriculture is planning to boost the country's potato and open ground vegetable harvest by 2025, reaching 7.5 million tons and 5.9 million tons respectively, thanks to a new federal project. This initiative, which has a budget of 5 billion rubles for 2023, twice the amount allocated in 2022, aims to support both large and small producers across 76 regions, with additional funding for the Far East and the Kaliningrad region. The project also includes provisions for personal subsidies for agricultural producers in 32 regions and increased funding for the creation and modernization of storage facilities.
