In 2025, the export potential of the Siberian Federal District for grain exceeds 6 million tons. Siberia traditionally produces significant volumes of grain, with this year's expected harvest around 18 million tons, and the export potential exceeding 6 million tons. This was stated on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia following a working meeting between the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut and the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Andrey Nikitin. Currently, a preferential railway tariff is in effect to support the transportation of grain, under which more than 2 million tons of grain have been transported from the regions of the Siberian Federal District this year. To relieve the railways and increase export capabilities, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Transport are developing multimodal routes, including routes through Tatarstan and the Samara region with subsequent shipment of grain by river transport. ...
