Starting from March 1, 2026, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia will have the right to establish and change the boundaries of agricultural lands, according to a government resolution.
"The decision on establishing the boundaries of agricultural lands or the decision on changing the boundaries of agricultural lands is made by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation for types of agricultural lands (arable land, hayfields, pastures (excluding deer pastures), fallow land, land occupied by perennial plantings (orchards, vineyards, etc.) separately for each subject of the Russian Federation by issuing an order, to which information on the boundaries of agricultural lands is attached," the document states.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Andrey Razin, speaking at a round table in the Federation Council, reported that the activities will be carried out based on materials prepared as part of the work on maps and diagrams of agricultural land.
