The potato market in Georgia has seen a price increase due to a drought in the main producing region, leading to a significant harvest drop. This situation allowed for imports to stabilize the market, with prices holding steady at about 1.80 lari/kg ($0.67) for several weeks. The highest imports in the last 5 years were recorded in October and November 2022, with Russia and Belarus being the main suppliers. Despite the stabilization, prices are still higher than in previous years, indicating a weaker supply.
