Potato processing market in Russia, main trends, development prospects

Russia processes potato products no more than 15% of gross harvests in the commodity sector. The processing of potatoes into potato products, which has become widespread in world practice, is now actively developing in Russia. Among the most popular types of potato processing products are frozen fries, crispy potatoes, chips, dry mashed potatoes, and grits. The processing industry requires potato varieties with a dry matter content of 25% or higher, and for uninterrupted industrial processing - in the required volumes and at different ripening periods.
