Powdered milk: measure to investigate Argentina is right, says Faesc

The Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of Santa Catarina (Faesc) approved the initiative of the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA) to file with the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC) a request for investigation into dumping practices in the marketing of milk from Argentina. “The sale of products at prices below the cost of production in Brazil has been harming the national production of powdered milk,” said the president of the Faesc/Senar System, José Zeferino Pedrozo, in a statement. “We need to guarantee the generation of income for Brazilian rural families, the maintenance of jobs and the supply of the domestic market with a quality product and fair trade”.
