REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto strengthens the governance of fertilizer subsidies through the issuance of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 113 of 2025 as a change to Perpres Number 6 of 2025. This regulation directs a comprehensive overhaul of the fertilizer subsidy mechanism as part of the national food security strategic agenda. The Perpres reorganizes the subsidy payment scheme, tightens the supervision of distribution, and emphasizes the priority of meeting domestic fertilizer needs to support the government's food program. Director of Fertilizers at the Ministry of Agriculture Jekvy Hendra explained that the most fundamental change in the new regulation lies in the fertilizer subsidy payment mechanism stipulated in Article 14.
