BOGOR - President Prabowo Subianto revealed that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program has created around 1 million jobs. This achievement comes from the operation of approximately 22,000 MBG kitchens that are involved in the production and distribution of nutritious food. “With just 22,000 (kitchens), we have now created 1 million jobs, 22,000 times 50 people, who are paid every day. We have created 1 million jobs,” said Prabowo during the 2026 National Coordination Meeting of the Central and Regional Governments at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor, West Java, on Monday (2/2/2026). Prabowo explained that these thousands of MBG kitchens are also driving the supply chain at the village level. Each kitchen requires various food ingredients, such as tomatoes, carrots, vegetables, eggs, fish, chicken, meat, and other commodities.
