President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Jokowi visited the Semantok Dam in Nganjuk, East Java, and planted date palms during the inauguration of the 30th dam out of a target of 50-60 by the end of 2024. The dam, built with an investment of IDR 2.5 trillion (US$160 million) and capable of storing 32.67 million cubic meters of water, is expected to benefit farmers by improving agricultural production. The visit included in the president's entourage key ministers and local government officials.
