Brazil: Price of milk in PR in August, which will be paid in September, is R$1,9198

After showing a slight decline of 2.1% in July, the Paraná dairy market remained stable in the partial of August – until the 18th. The prices of products with greater weight in the sales mix – such as mozzarella and milk UHT – practically walked sideways. The data were presented at the meeting of the Parity Council for Milk Producers/Industries of Paraná (Conseleite-PR), this Tuesday (24). The collegiate approved the projected reference value of R$1.9198 for the liter of standard milk delivered in August to be paid in September. The value is used as a basis for negotiations between producers and dairy products. “We were not surprised. It was a period without much price movement, with relative stability”, observed professor Vânia Guimarães, from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), one of those responsible for the survey.
