Retail prices for dairy products in Ukraine have increased due to severe heat affecting dairy farm ventilation systems, leading to reduced cow productivity and milk shortage. Prolonged refrigeration equipment outages resulted in the spoilage of dairy products and further price hikes. The use of diesel generators also increased production costs. As of August 5, prices for pasteurized milk, kefir, sour cream, drinkable yogurt, sour milk cheese, butter, and Ukrainian cheese have all seen increases, with some products experiencing double-digit price increases year-over-year.
