In Ukraine, plum prices have plummeted due to an oversupply, now ranging from UAH 8-14/kg, which is 54% cheaper than the previous week. The hot weather has hastened plum ripening but degraded their quality, further lowering prices. Growers are concerned as current prices are below last year's levels and may continue to drop. Retail prices for plums are UAH 31.10/kg at Auchan and UAH 30/kg at Silpo. Meanwhile, prices for potatoes and beets are also decreasing, whereas white cabbage has become more expensive.
