Prices for plums in Ukraine suddenly fell: how much does a kilogram cost?

Prices for plums in Ukraine have fallen sharply. Fruits are becoming cheaper due to oversupply in the market. EastFruit analysts noted that the demand of wholesale companies for plums is very low, but the volume of supply continues to increase. So, today the price of plums varies in the range of UAH 8-14/kg ($0.19-0.34/kg), which is on average 54% cheaper than at the end of the last working week. It is noted that the hot weather contributed to accelerated ripening of plums and at the same time negatively affected their quality, which puts additional pressure on prices. Growers are concerned that plum prices have already fallen below last year's levels, when the fruit sold for an average of 33% more than today.
