Recent data from the China Agriculture Ministry shows a decrease in the prices of premium proteins, including seafood species such as croaker and salmon, in China's wholesale markets. The price for large yellow croaker has fallen by 3.2 percent compared to the same period last year, and the wholesale price of fresh Norwegian salmon has hit a 175-day low, with average prices dropping by 20 percent in mid-May. This trend is attributed to weaker global and domestic demand for these premium proteins.
