The shortage of sunflower supply to factories and the resumption of work at most oil processing plants led to a new wave of rising sunflower prices in Ukraine against the backdrop of consistently high sunflower oil prices on the global market. Thanks to a decrease in the intensity of shelling of ports in recent weeks, some plants in the south have resumed operations, even despite power supply disruptions. Purchase prices for sunflower in Ukraine have risen by 500 UAH/t over the week to 30000-30500 UAH/t or 610-620 $/t without VAT (for an oil content of 50%) with delivery to the factory, while competition between processors for large lots has intensified.
