In the third week of October, the monitoring of 500 county fairs and collection points in China revealed an increase in the prices of live pigs, eggs, live chickens, white striped chickens, commercial chickens, beef, and mutton, while the prices of compound feed for broiler chickens, corn, soybean meal, and broiler chickens decreased. The price of raw milk, compound feed for fattening pigs, and compound feed for laying hens remained stable. The national average price of live pigs and pork increased by over 12% and 7% respectively from the previous week, but decreased by over 57% and 55% year-on-year respectively. The average price of eggs, live chicken, white striped chicken, and commercial broiler chickens also increased slightly from the previous week, while the average price of beef and mutton also increased slightly from the previous week and significantly year-on-year. The average price of raw milk increased by 9.4% year-on-year, while the average price of corn and soybean meal increased by 15.4% and 14.8% year-on-year respectively. The average price of compound feed for finishing pigs, broilers, and laying hens also increased by over 10% year-on-year.
