The prices of the most consumed vegetables in the country's main wholesale markets registered a drop. Lettuce, potato, onion, carrot, and tomato became cheaper in September when compared to the values practiced in August. The largest drop was verified for lettuce, with a reduction of 16.01% in the weighted average of quotations, explained by the good supply of leafy vegetables in the markets. This is what shows the 10th Bulletin of the Brazilian Program for the Modernization of the Horticultural Market (Prohort), released this Tuesday (21) by the National Supply Company (Conab).
