Ukrainian dairy products have found a promising market in EU countries, with potential for increased exports of value-added goods to Eastern European countries due to their logistical advantages and consumer demand. However, the industry faces threats such as the possible restoration of quotas and high market competition. Traditional markets in Caucasus and Central Asia, where Ukraine has a strong presence, also present opportunities despite geopolitical risks and competition from Russian dairy products. The Middle East and North Africa, North Asia, and Southeast Asia are key global markets for dairy exports, with China being the largest importer. Ukraine aims to strengthen its position in these markets, providing it can address logistical challenges and economic instability, thereby offsetting the anticipated reduction in milk production in Europe.
