Chile exports fresh salmon to Malaysia

Ana Belén Bueno, representing ProChile in Malaysia, has spotlighted the success of C-Food Portions' initial trial shipments of fresh Atlantic salmon to Kuala Lumpur, which started in March and have now become a weekly occurrence. These shipments have notably impressed with their freshness, aiming to raise awareness among Malaysian consumers about the origins of their salmon. Many are unaware that a significant portion of the frozen salmon available in Malaysia is sourced from Chile. As of 2023, Chile's salmon exports to Malaysia have reached a milestone value of US$21 million, marking a significant achievement in the trade relations between the two countries.
