The Los Lagos Region in Chile has seen an increase in export diversification, with a total of 303 products exported this year, up from 276 last year. The region has 253 companies exporting to 92 markets, with the United States being the most important market. The total exports for the first four months of 2021 reached USD 1,865 million, a decrease of 2% compared to the same period in 2020 due to lower international prices of exported products. The most significant sector was Fishing and Aquaculture, with USD 1,731 million and a decrease of 1.5%, with salmon and trout being the majority. Agricultural product exports between January and April 2021 reached USD 107 million, with fresh blueberries being the largest export.
