The Union of Chambers of Agriculture of Turkey (TZOB) chairman, Şemsi Bayraktar, reported significant price fluctuations in September for both products and inputs. The most significant price increases were seen in tomatoes, dry beans, olive oil, and chicken meat in the market, while lemons experienced the largest price decrease. In producers, green pepper, green beans, and apples saw the highest price increases, while lemon prices fell due to comparisons with the previous season. Bayraktar highlighted marketing difficulties for lemon producers and suggested the Soil Products Office's intervention for price stability in dry onions, attributing price drops to increased yield and slow demand. Additionally, he addressed the negative impact of rising fertilizer prices on producers.
