Brazil: Producers of ATeG goat dairy start sales

The group of the Technical and Management Assistance Program (ATeG) Goat Farming of Milk promoted by the FAEMG/SENAR/INAES System, in São Domingos do Prata, is the first in the state and started activities in 2020. This year, three goat farmers of the group started the marketing process. The sale is made to Laticínio Regina, from Governador Valadares and the producers receive the net amount of R$3 per liter of goat's milk. The dairy collects the product on Tuesdays and Fridays and to make deliveries feasible, the group provided a 200-liter cooling tank that was installed on the property of producer Izaulina Pereira Ribeiro. It is worth noting that to ensure the quality of the milk sold, field technician Evandro Ferreira drew up an internal regulation of conduct and good sanitary practices that must be followed by all producers interested in joint marketing.
