Production and export of rapeseed oil is growing in Russia — Ministry of Agriculture

The country ranks second in the world in terms of deliveries of this product abroad The oil and fat industry is one of the drivers of the Russian agro-industrial complex. The production of oilseeds and their processed products is steadily increasing. In particular, 382 thousand tons of rapeseed oil were produced in the first quarter of this year, which is a quarter more than in the same period last year. Such dynamics make it possible to increase the export of this product: in January-March, it increased by a third in physical terms and by one and a half times in value terms compared to the 2024 level. This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The department emphasized that, in general, Russia provides approximately 7% of the world's physical supplies of oil and fat products and ranks second in rapeseed oil exports among all countries.
