Production of beer and beer drinks in Russia increased by 0.1% in the first quarter

In the first quarter of 2023, Russia experienced a slight growth in beer and beer drink production, with a total of 176.2 million decaliters, marking a 0.1% increase from the previous year. Beer production specifically saw a 1.7% rise to 155.4 million decaliters, while the production of beer drinks decreased by 4.5% to 20.8 million decaliters. Additionally, the production of cider, poiret, and mead surged by 24.5% compared to the first quarter of 2022, reaching 2.1 million decalitres.
