The production of dairy products in Crimea has been growing steadily over the past eight years, with butter production increasing by 2 times, processed liquid milk by 2.5 times, cottage cheese by 3 times, and fermented milk products by 4 times. In January-August of this year, there was a significant increase in the production of various dairy products compared to the same period last year, with fermented baked milk and Varents increasing by 60.1%, and liquid processed milk and kefir increasing by 28.8% and 25.4% respectively. The region has over 20 dairy processing plants, with 90% of the production coming from medium and small businesses that prioritize the use of natural milk from local dairy farms.
