In the aftermath of the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey, especially in the district of Türkoğlu, dried tomato production has seen a surge, with a target of exporting 800 tons to European and American markets. This production is being carried out across 10,000 tons of fresh tomatoes spread over a thousand acres of land, with a 25% increase in yield compared to the previous year. This resilient response to the disaster not only aims to generate 2 million dollars but also provides significant employment opportunities, with 350 jobs created in the sector. The dried tomatoes, naturally sun-dried and pesticide-free, are added to the economy of Kahramanmaraş and Turkey, with a sense of recovery and perseverance among the local farmers.
