Kazakhstan's grain production saw a significant increase in the last harvest due to favorable growing conditions, with winter and spring wheat production increasing by 39% to 16.4 million metric tonnes. This surge in production, coupled with strong international demand, has led to a rebound in exports. The government is now focused on rebuilding wheat stocks to avoid the need for temporary export quotas in the future. Despite a slight decrease in total oilseed production, corn and rice production also saw increases. Traditional customers in Central Asia are driving the solid demand for Kazakhstan's wheat and flour exports, with projections expecting the export pace to continue. Barley exports have also seen a significant increase, particularly to Iran and China.
