According to figures from the Association of Avocado Producers and Exporters of Peru (ProHass), the 2025 campaign has marked a milestone by reaching 690,000 metric tons exported nationally, which represents a notable increase of 37% compared to the previous year. This progress responds, to a large extent, to the dynamism of international demand and the efficiency of the national logistics chain, in which the Port of Callao emerges as a key piece. In 2024 alone, this port infrastructure moved 32,400 TEUs (20-foot containers) of avocados, with the South Pier Terminal—operated by DP World Callao—responsible for 50% of these exports.
