Peru: They allocate S/890 thousand to reinforce crops of granadilla, Andean papaya and avocado

The National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs transferred S/ 898,978.21 to the District Municipality of Quiaca for the execution, for the third year, of the project to improve technology transfer services for production with added value and commercialization of crops granadilla, Andean papaya and avocado. With these resources, the production of 356 hectares of the aforementioned crops will be improved. In addition, 60 new hectares of alternative crops will be installed in 10 sectors of the area. Likewise, 600 families will benefit and will be able to improve their economy with these activities. This year, in order to expand the 60 new hectares of alternative crops, a total of 32,470 seedlings will be produced, of which 16,000 are passion fruit seedlings, 6,250 avocado seedlings and 10,220 Andean papaya seedlings.
