Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, has announced its first export of 'Super Awning Rice', a local brand, to Switzerland, worth 110 million won (36 tons). This marks a significant milestone for the city's agricultural sector, which is currently facing a decline in domestic consumption. The rice, produced in a cultivation complex with strict quality control and inspection processes, has received Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Gyeonggi Province Governor's Certification (G Mark). This export follows the successful recognition of the quality of this rice in other international markets, including the US, France, Germany, Australia, the UK, and Indonesia. The city plans to continue promoting the export of its agricultural and food products.
