Dong Trieu town in Vietnam has seen over 1,550 households planting custard apple across 800 hectares, with an expected yield of 6,500 tons. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted traditional consumption channels, leading to concerns about product consumption. To address this, the town has turned to e-commerce and established 'green channels' for product circulation. In the first half of the season, nearly 4,000 tons of custard apple were consumed, with over 400 tons sold through e-commerce channels. The town is also focusing on attracting businesses and cooperatives to consume local agricultural products, such as fresh milk, potatoes, and mushrooms, and is using its local e-commerce platform, Dong Trieu Mart, to sell more agricultural products online. The town's agricultural production value has reached over VND 1,110 billion in the first nine months of 2021, marking a 6.4% increase.
