The Turkish raisin market has experienced a steady upward trend since August 2023, with the price of sultana n.9 delivered to Europe increasing by 12% between January and February 2024, to over $2,900 per ton. This represents an 80% increase compared to February 2023. The price hike is attributed to a limited supply from Turkey due to a disappointing 23/24 harvest season, which was impacted by unfavorable weather conditions and restricted use of production inputs.
