The European Union has processed a record 12.8 million tons of canola in the first half of the 2023-2024 agricultural season, marking an increase of 650,000 tons from the same period last season, as per market analysis firm Oil World. The most significant increases were observed in Germany and Poland, while France and the Netherlands experienced a decrease. However, Oil World anticipates a seasonal decline in processed quantities to 11.9-12 million tons in the season's second half due to a shrinking supply of the oilseed crop and anticipated insufficient imports, primarily from Australia.
