The article reports on the current state of rapeseed plants in Lower Silesia, Poland, highlighting their good condition after a favourable autumn season. The warm October weather allowed the plants to grow well, with each producing 8-12 leaves, given they were adequately supplied with NPK and managed properly. There was concern about potential autumn pests, especially aphids, but they did not pose a significant threat in the southern regions. However, staffing shortages and heavy rains in late August and early September have caused issues, leading to plant deaths or delays in emergence in some areas. Despite these challenges, the overall condition of the plants is deemed quite good, with a dozen days remaining before the rapeseed goes into winter dormancy.
