Regarding the new import regulations for coffee from Nordic countries, the trade office recommends that domestic coffee exporters change their production and business methods to protect the environment and workers, thereby complying with the evolving sustainable regulations of the European Union (EU). Regarding the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the trade office states that this is a primary condition. Starting from December 30, 2025, coffee suppliers to the EU must prove that their coffee is not grown on land deforested after December 2020.
