Andalusia has seen a significant increase in olive oil exports in the first ten months of 2022, reaching 2,819 million euros, an increase of 27.2% from the previous year. This makes 2022 the best year for olive oil exports in Andalusia's history, surpassing the total exports of 2021. The region is responsible for 76% of Spain's olive oil exports, making it a global leader in the market. The exports were dominated by extra virgin olive oil, accounting for 62% of the total. The provinces of Seville, Córdoba, and Malaga led the growth in exports, with Seville being the largest contributor. The export markets were diversified, with Italy, the United States, Portugal, France, China, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Germany being the top ten destinations.
