Spain's exports of meat and offal to Vietnam from January to September 2020 reached a record value of 19.2 million euros, with most of the exports being pork products. This is expected to end the January-December fiscal year with levels significantly higher than in 2016, when they reached 15.81 million euros. The Spanish pork sector has been working to position itself in the Vietnamese market, taking advantage of the favorable export situation in 2020 due to a drastic drop in Vietnam's local pork production caused by African swine fever.
