Arkansas is set to achieve a record soybean yield of 57 bushels per acre this harvest season, with an estimated total production of 172 million bushels, marking an 8% increase from the previous year. The state is also expecting good yields from other crops such as corn, cotton, peanuts, and rice, despite facing hotter and drier weather conditions compared to the previous year. Corn production is expected to decrease by 41% from last year, but with a higher yield of 186 bushels per acre. Cotton production is projected to rise by 21% to 1.65 million bales, and peanut production is expected to increase by 18% to 233 million pounds, despite a forecasted lower yield. Rice production is also expected to increase by 2% to 109 million hundredweight.
