Turkey: Record support for Van’s small livestock farming with 200 thousand sheep

Van Governor Ozan Balcı said that in the city where small cattle farming is widespread, 200 thousand sheep support has been provided to 2 thousand farmers so far within the scope of the "I have a lot of reasons to live in my village" project. The project, coordinated by Van Governor Ozan Balcı and carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and Ziraat Bank, was launched in 2020 in order to increase rural development and revitalize animal husbandry. In Van, which ranks first in Turkey in the field of small cattle farming, farmers are provided with zero-interest, 1-year non-refundable and 5-year term sheep loan support within the scope of the project.
