There is also an anticipated increase in the cultivation of rye and other winter cereals by 2.8% to 550,100 hectares, and a 2.4% increase in the cultivation of triticale to 271,600 hectares. However, the cultivation of winter barley is expected to decrease by 5.4% to 1.2 million hectares. German growers are also planning to sow 1.1 million hectares of winter rapeseed, marking a 2.3% increase compared to 2024.
