Norway is rebuilding a reindeer fence along its Arctic border with Russia to prevent the animals from crossing. The reason for this is that the Scandinavian country must compensate the Russians for the grazing lands. According to the Norwegian authorities, 42 reindeer have crossed into Russia by October this year in search of better pastures.
