Removal and recall of fuets in France that are contaminated with salmonella

07/17/2021 Communicated 45 cases of salmonellosis (27 of which concern children), whose strains share the same genetic characteristics, were identified between June 24 and July 15 by the National Reference Center for Salmonella. The link with the consumption of fuets produced by the Spanish establishment "EMBUTIDOS CAULA SL" was confirmed on July 15 by the General Directorate of Food, the General Directorate of Health and Public Health France. Several batches consumed by patients are found to be susceptible to salmonella contamination. The Directorate General for Food, the Directorate General for Health and Public Health France have therefore decided to have all batches of fuets withdrawn / recalled from the various brands concerned.
