Researcher defines Argentine rapeseed as genetically very competitive and urges producers to use it even as a winter crop

Although at times it seemed to have been forgotten, rapeseed cultivation continues to be strong in different regions of the country, and various research programs are promoting its positioning. One of them is the genetic improvement program led by INTA Paraná, which pursues excellence in the quality of the seed that is marketed. This was reported by Lucrecia Gieco, a researcher at the Paraná Agricultural Experimental Station (EEA Paraná), who pointed out, in conversation with Bichos de Campo, that the current cultivars, both hybrids and pure lines, are highly competitive due to their ability to adapt to the different environments of Argentina and other countries.
